Royals to visit

Two more members of the Royal Family will visit New Zealand next year, says the Prime Minister, Mr Lange. Prince Edward will open the Commonwealth Games on January 24 on behalf of his father, the Duke of Edinburgh. He will stay for the duration of the Games and will attend other engagements. The Princess Royal, Princess Anne, will visit for the seventy-fifth anniversary of Anzac Day, April 25. Detailed itineraries will be issued soon. It was earlier announced that the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh would visit New Zealand from February 1-16.
