Front row axed
NZPA-Reuter Sydney Australia has axed its front row in a complete scrum reorganisation for the Bledisloe Cup rugby test match against New Zealand in Auckland on August 5. The Australian selectors recalled vid campaigners Simon Poidevin and Andy Mclntyre, and included the prop, Tony Daly, for the first time in a 20-man squad announced yesterday. Five players were dropped from the team which was beaten 19-18 in the third test against the British Lions. A twenty-first player — a reserve frontrower — will be added to the squad and the starting XV will be named on Monday. Daly and Mclntyre come in for Dan Crowley and Mark Hartill while Tom Lawton, whose lack of mobility was painfully obvious against the Lions, is also omitted. The squad is: Nick Farr-Jones (captain), David Campese, Brad Girvan, Tim Horan, Michael Lynagh, Greg Martin, Marty Roebuck, Peter Slattery, Lloyd Walker, lan Williams, Bill Campbell, Steve Cutler, Tony Daly, Tim Gavin, Phil Kearns, Mark Mcßain, Andy Mclntyre, Jeff Miller, Simon Poidevin, Steve Tuynman.
