This objective is to be achieved through: —systematic identification of youth serviceneeds, —the development of a youth work policy and —the development of a model for a neighbourhood based youth programme, and; -the establishment of training packages for youth leader and youth workers/groups applicable at neighbourhood level. The youth worker will be part of the community development initiatives from the Community Advisory Section. This position is funded through the Department of Internal Affairs, via the Youth Worker Training Scheme.
