Mayoral election
Sir, —Barbara Stewart’s letter (July 24) was a breath of fresh air as it clarified a lot of confusion, particularly Margaret Murray’s hesitation on the mayoralty. Her many friends and admirers never doubted her integrity, but wondered as to the cause. The attributes of honesty, clear thinking, energy, and concern for fairness are essential in a mayoral capacity. Margaret Murray possesses them all. — Yours, etc., BILL BARRY. July 26, 1989.
