Women’s rugby has held a high profile in Christchurch iti recent weeks. A New Zealand team played its first, match agains the touring Grizzlies, from California, at Lancaster Park last Saturday and a woman’s competition has been Introduced into the New Zealand Teachers’ Colleges annual tournament next rr ' 7' "
Another feature of this year’s competition will be the selection of a national Teachers’ Colleges team to play : its Australian counterpart, the Australian Colleges of Advanced Education, in Christchurch in September. The Australians will also oppose 1 a Christchurch College of Education XV.
