Applause from Douglas
Political reporter A bed-ridden former Minister of Finance, Mr Roger Douglas, has applauded the first Budget by his successor, Mr Caygill. Mr Douglas is still recovering from a chest infection, so was not at Parliament. “The major achievement of David Caygill’s first Budget is its projected deficit improvement,” he said last evening.
