Body found, named The body of one of two men missing since the disappearance of a small fishing boat near Napier on July 11 was found yesterday. Senior-Sergeant Graeme Sawyer, of Napier, said the body had been positively identified as Neil Clarke, aged 40, of Clive. The small boat Dee Bee sank near Pania Reef. No trace has been found of the second man in the 8m boat, Sturla “Marty” Martinussen, aged 43, also of Clive. — PA. Demarcation hearing The demarcation hearing between watersiders and harbour workers has been rescheduled for October 24 in the Wellington Labour Court. It was originally set down for September 4, but after an in-chambers meeting on Friday the date was changed. The dispute is over who should use port company-owned cargohandling equipment on the wharves. — PA. Refuse station repair The Styx Mill Road refuse station will be closed for repairs from August 1 to August 4. Householders are advised to defer dumping or to use the stations at Metro Place (off Dyers Road) or Parkhouse Road. The station will open again on August 5. Campylobacter cases Eight cases of the notifiable disease, Campylobacter, were reported in Canterbury for the week ended July 22. A case of meningococcal meningitis and one of food poisoning were also reported.
