Colts excite crowd

PA Levin The New Zealand Colts kicked off their internal rugby tour, with a blistering, 53-20, win over Horowhenua at the Levin Domain yesterday. The game was played on a firm ground and the superb weather made for exciting rugby. The Colts looked keen, fast and elusive as they tallied up 10 tries, nine of them to their backs. Craig Innes, Walter Little, and George Konia played especially well, each being rewarded with tries. Scorers: New Zealand Colts 53 (George Konia 3, Walker Little 2, Va’aiga Tuigamala 2, Matthew Ridge, Andrew Roose, Craig Innes, tries; Matthew Ridge, 5 conversions, penalty goal) beat Horowhenua 20 (Donald Laursen 2, Craig Laurseri, tries; Craig Laursen, conversion, 2 penalty goals). Referee: Clive Norling (Wales).
