ICI says accept
ICI Australia has increased its offer for industrial group, ICI New Zealand, and local directors are recommending that shareholders accept. The offer, being made through Impkemix Holdings (NZ), Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of ICI Australia, has been lifted from 280 c to 310 c a share. Directors of ICI New Zealand “have unanimously resolved to recom-
mend to shareholders the acceptance of the increased offer and those directors holding shares will be accepting the offer,” the Stock Exchange was told yesterday. The original offer was made on July 6 and compared with market sales of 255 c. ICI Australia is 63 per cent owned by the British ICI group.
