Burglars steal clothing
Burglars cut through a wall to steal more than $30,000 of suede and leather clothing from a Hornby company yesterday. Staff at The Warehouse, Carmen Road, arrived at work to find the hole and boxes of stock removed. The burglary occurred some time between 5.30 a.m. and 8 a.m., and would have taken a reasonable amount of time, a police spokesman said. The fibreglass-type wall was cut with a saw. Sixty-eight leather, and 50 suede jackets and skirts were taken. The skirts are purple with domes at the back.
