ROLLER HOCKEY The Panthers ended the Bullet’s winning run with a 7-6 win in the 8.1. C. South Island roller hockey match played at Skate Station on Sunday. The Panthers trailed the Bullets, 3-2 at the end of the first period but outplayed its opponent in a pacey second period. Greg Jordan secured the player of the day award and was well assisted by Jb Alfeld, Peter Mackie and Tony Atkinson who served two minutes in the sin bin for "over vigourous Play” In the final period the enthusiastic crowd stood as the Panthers curtailed the lethal * f

pairing of Phil Denovan and Chris Anderson. Denovan managed to weave his way round to equalise but Jordan pocketed the winning goal. The Highwaymen were too strong for South’s winning 4-1 recently. Grant Singer (Highwaymen) was a popular choice for the player of the match as he toiled tirelessly and broke up numerous South's attacking moves. Results.— Panthers 7 (G. Jordan 6, T.
