AMP chairman appointed
Mr Douglas Ritchie has been elected deputy chairman of the AMP Board in New Zealand, and has also been appointed to the principal
board of the Society, in Australia. A Wellington engineer, he is a director of AMP Fire and General Insurance Co. (N.Z.) and AMP Perpetual Trustee Co. (N.Z.). Mr Ritchie was general manager and chief executive of Cable Price Corporation and also a director of Cable Price Downer and seven of its 13 subsidiaries, until his retirement last year. Mr Ritchie is a director of the Electricity Corporation.
