Milk tokens

Sir,—Jane M. L. Cowan (June 29) seems to be confused between the availability of milk tokens from supermarkets and the supply of bottled milk. She should not worry if her supermarket no longer sells milk tokens as most Christchurch milk vendors will gladly make these available direct from the truck or from their young assistants. I can assure your correspondent that bottled milk, as well as one litre cartons and two litre plastics, will remain available from milk vendors whether or not supermarkets stock tokens. Concerned consumers should contact their local milk vendor, who will inform them of the various alternatives for obtaining milk tokens. —Yours, etc., lAN MURRAY, Secretary/manager, , Canterbury Milk Vendors’ Association. July 6, 1989.
