Book about puberty wins award
PA Wellington A book for children explaining how to make the best of puberty has won the Library Association’s annual children’s nonfiction award.
“It’s O.K. To Be You,” a warm and contemporary guide to growing up, was written by Claire Patterson and illustrated by Lindsay Quilter. Mrs Patterson, a
mother of two, has 12 years experience in community education, including seven years with the Auckland Family Planning Association where she was education director.
