Appeal postponed

The appeal lodged by Chris Johnson over the severity of his suspension for careless riding in the Godsin incident at the Hororata meeting last Saturday week has been postponed. Johnson’s legal representative applied for an adjournment yesterday a few hours before the case was due to be heard. No date for the hearing had been set last evening. Johnson was given what was effectively a threeday suspension •on the charge. Under the rules he may continue riding until the appeal is heard.
