Eye Full has wide draw
The Riccarton mare Eye Full has drawn 24 at the barrier in the rich Fourex Cup at Doomben on Saturday. Eye Full, which has yet to race in Queensland is weighted at 52.5 kilograms, 5.5 kg below the top weight, Poetic Prince which is at the
relatively lengthy odds of 4-to-l with some Brisbane bookmakers.
Eye Full is at 25-to-l rated with Beyond Reach. Field Dancer (55kg) which has drawn twelve is second favourite at 6-to-l on early betting with Tawrrific (53.5 kg at 12-
to-l and Plume d’Or Veille at 15-to-l.
Eye Full missed a race when the Prime Minister’s Cup was postponed at the Gold Coast last week though it is doubtful if she would have gone to the post anyway had the race been run to its original
schedule last Wednesday. Eye Full got down in the plane on the way to Queensland and lost quite a lot of skin.
She was accompanied by a stablemate, Peach Melba, which has also yet to race. She did not thrive on the trip to Australia.
