‘Dirty tricks’ used by Labour
PA Wellington The Leader of the Opposition, Mr Bolger, secure in his party’s 26point lead in a poll, yesterday claimed Labour was using “dirty tricks” against the New Labour Party.’
“I guess it was predictable that the old Labour Party would start its dirty tricks brigade against Jim Anderton and his new team.”
He expected that would be intensified after New Labour’s 9 per cent support showing in the poll. Labour had 26 per cent, Mr Bolger predicted a “a very interesting and dirty fight” over the next few months as the two parties vied for broadly the same part of the Leftwing section of the political spectrum.
