New soccer sponsor
The defending national league soccer champion, Christchurch United, will be sponsored by Radio 3ZB for the next th United 3l which is bidding for three successive league titles, announced the new sponsorship yesterday. The club chairman, Malcolm H nman, is delighted with the terms of the deal. "It will ensure that United’s future is secure, bring financial security and put down a foundation from which United can nroeress to even greater success.” United is the only South Island team in the competition and 3ZB has urged the sporting public of Canterbury to support the side. f
