Table tennis losses PA London

New Zealand table tennis teams have won just one of their four opening matches at the world championships in Dortmund, West Germany. The men’s team beat Liechtenstein, 5-0, and lost, 5-1, to highly-rated Japan, but the New Zealand coach, Peter Hirst, said Auckland player Peter Jackson’s 21-18,, 21-19 victory over Japan’s Shibutani was an “absolutely fantastic” result. The women’s team was beaten 3-0 by both Japan and Indonesia.
