Public Notices WAIRAKEI SCHOOL BOARD OF TRUSTEES ELECTION OF PARENTS SHORTLY elections will be held for the Wairakei School Board of Trustees. This Board will be responsible for running your child’s school. If you are a parent, guardian or immediate caregiver of a child currently enrolled at this school you may register to vote for the Board of Trustees’ election. To take part, please check these points: VOTING: 1. Make sure your name is on the school’s electoral roll by Thursday, April 6 (12 noon), 1989. This roll is held at the school office and is available to be examined at the school during school hours. Telephone inquiries will also be accepted. 2. If your name is on the roll, you will receive voting papers in the mall. A list of candidates will be available at the school, and will be posted to you with your voting paper. 3. You may vote in person at the school on Friday, April 28,1989, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. 4. Or you may post your vote earlier as long as it reaches the address below by 12 noon, April 29, 1989. 5. The total number of parent representatives to be elected is five. NOMINATIONS: 1. If you are eligible to vote you may Be nominated and stand for election Nominate someone else Nominate yourself Nominations must be made by a parent who is eligible to vote, and the person who is being nominated must agree to the nomination. 2. Nomination forms are available from the school office during school hours, or they will be posted out on request. 3. Nominations close on Thursday, April 6 (12 noon), 1989. They must be received by the Returning Officer by this time. 4. A public meeting will be held to discuss development at the school as we progressively implement ‘‘Tomorrow’s ' Schools.” Nominations for the Board of Trustees and the question of a School Council will be received at this meeting.
