Co-ordinators named
PA Wellington The New Zealand Netball Association yesterday named four of its five regional co-ordinators. The regional co-ordinators, to work under the national director, Lois Muir, will greatly extend the association’s field work programmes, in both the coaching and umpiring areas. The four named yesterday cover the lower and upper South Island, and lower and central North Island. The upper North Island co-ordinator is to be named by the end of next week. A New Zealand representative, Sandra Mallett (Hamilton), has been appoined central North Island co-ordinator, while the former New Zealand captain, Leigh Gibbs (Christchurch), has responsibility for the upper South Island. Betty Carrick (Palmerston North) will administer the lower North Island, and a former New Zealand rep, Georgina Salter, the lower South Island. The regional co-ordinators are being sponsored by Bendon.
