Pilot a dare-devil —father
PA Palmerston North A Pahiatua microlight pilot killed in an accident on Tuesday was described by his father as “always a bit of a dare-devil.” Mr Jim Edwards of Wanganui said his son lived in the fast lane throughout his life. “And now he has died in it but that’d be the way he would’ve wanted to go ... fast.” Kelvin Edwards, aged 38, was killed on Tuesday evening when the microlight he was piloting crashed on farmland at Mangatainoka. He was flying over Carisbrook Road when the craft crashed about 6.55 p.m. The site was investigated on Wednesday by an inspector of air accidents, Mr Dmitri Zoißv.
