McEwen top prospect
PA Wanganui The , young Manawatu racer, Jason McEwen, will be looking for a repeat performance of last week-end when he tackles the second round of the 1988 New Zealand international motorcycle road racing series in Auckland tomorrow. McEwen was the undoubted star of the opening meeting at Manfeild last
week-end, with five wins from six starts on his Suzuki machines, with double success in the glamour Formula 1 class as well as the senior production grade. His main rival tomorrow will clearly be Wellington’s Robert Holden, who struck mechanical problems at Manfeild with his Ducati 851 Superbike and had to be 1 content with second and fourth placings in Formula 1
