TV3 drops fibre-optics

PA Wellington TV3 has abandoned a $6O million fibre-optics project with the Railways Corporation, the Railways corporate planning manager, Mr Murray King, said yesterday. Mr King said TV3 had withdrawn from the project because the channel intended using conventional means of transmission.

TV3 Central’s managing director, Mr Chris Wanden, refused to comment.
