Journal celebrates 100th issue
The Latimer Fellowship of New Zealand has just celebrated the one hundredth issue of its quarterly journal for Christians, first published 29 years ago.
Latimer was launched in 1959 as a 12-page pamphlet called the “Evangelical Churchman’s Review.”
Mr Les Brighton, of Christchurch, an editor, said the journal looked mostly for local content,
and aimed for a blend of more reflective articles with the practical experience of people working through what it is to be a Christian. The Latimer Fellowship, an independent trust within the Anglican Communion, was formed in 1945 as the Evangelical Churchmen’s Fellowship and later became the Anglican Evangelical Fellowship. Christchurchbased, it has a national membership.
