Water from Coast
Sir,—Our Government might look at piping water from the West Coast of the South Island to the eastern side. With almost one in 10 needing work; it could be done before we become a dust bowl. Our magnificent scenery need not be disturbed and, long term, with the greenhouse effect, the future could be more than exciting. — Yours, etc., MAUREEN O’CONNOR. December 5, 1988.
