Employment advertisements
Sir, —Thank you for your assistance in publishing the Employment Wanted advertisements on Wednesdays. This service is very much appreciated by the unemployed as it is something positive which they can do themselves to find employment. Employers have indicated that the applicants using the service, by showing the initiative in placing the advertisements, have demonstrated their willingness and determination to find a job. Other employment resource centres have seen the benefit of the service in Christchurch and made arrangements with their local newspapers for a similar service.
