Soccer hooliganism
Dutch soccer authorities will introduce an experimental pass system next year in a bid to combat violence at matches, a spokesman for the Dutch soccer association, KNVB, has said. European Cup holders, PSV Eindhoven, and four other clubs with a reputation for attracting hooligans, will be ordered to restrict tickets for away matches to fans holding a special KNVB identity card, an association spokesman said. Police would stop away fans without identity cards who tried to buy tickets the turnstiles. — NZPA-Reuter.
