Dean Bell furious
NZPA-AFP Wigan Dean Bell, the Kiwi star banned this week for six matches, by the British Rugby League Disciplinary Committee is furious at the length of the suspension. “I’m no thug,” said the Wigan centre, who was banned after being sent off for a head-high tackle
last week on Salford’s Peter Williams, a former England rugby representative. “I can’t believe it. The committee said what I did was thuggery, yet last week they handed out a four-match ban to a player who ran 20 yards to head-butt someone. It’s so inconsistent and unjust,” said Bell.
