N.Z. launch for global project
A project which aims for global co-operation to help create a better world will be given its New Zealand launch in Christchurch this evening. People from all round the world were being asked for their vision of how to make the world a better place, said the project’s co-ordinator, Yogi Brijmohan Anand, of India. Once people had decided what changes they would like to work towards, they could work together, Mr Anand said. The project has been launched in 50 countries so far. As part of the project doctors in India had de-cided-to take a month’s holiday to travel to out-
lying parts of the country to talk about preventive medicine. The project’s co-ordina-tors in India had also called together newspaper representatives and had talked to them about negative news. Since then some members of the news media had made an effort to include stories with more positive values, Mr Anand said. Anyone interested in hearing about "global coOperation for a better world” is invited to the State Trinity Centre today at 7.30 p.m. Mr Anand and the Dean of Christchurch, Dr David Coles, will be among the speakers.
