Mechanics in business
Four mechanics, due to become redundant with the Railways Corporation at the end of the week, have joined together to set up their own business in Greymouth. “We are too old to start again, so we have decided to lease the Railways Road Services depot in Tainui Street and go for it,” said Mr Brian "Quinn, one of the four mechanics. “At present we have a one-year lease on the building, which will be reviewed annually,” he said. — PA.
