Puppy kicked to death

A puppy was kicked to death in front of a group of schoolchildren in Blenheim on Thursday. The children, who were all in Form 1, were in the town centre at lunchtime when they saw three people carring a small black puppy across Seymour Gardens. They watched as the man carrying the puppy put it down and kicked it. As it got up it was kicked a second time, and the others then joined in until it was dead. The group then buried the puppy in one of the flower beds. Constable Phil Welch, of the Blenheim police said the children were still being interviewed.
