Hamelyn ‘yes’
The independent directors of Hamelyn UPC, Ltd, are recommending acceptance of the 15c a share takeover bid from joint managing directors, Messrs S. H. Johnstone and M. J. Reid. In making the recommendation they noted the market conditions, that the company’s operating performance was likely to be near break-even in the current year and the virtually non-existent market in the company’s shares.
