Brierley in Vickers
NZPA London Sir Ronald Brierley has acquired a 5.2 per cent stake in Vickers, the engineering to Rolls-Royce cars group, during the last six weeks, the “Financial Times” reports. The “Independent” said the fact confirmation of the 5.2% stake pushed the engineering group's shares only 2p higher to 169 p must say something
about Sir Ronald’s loss of credibility in the eyes of London investors. “Until Sir Ronald sheds his image of an opportunistic wheeler-dealer and acquires a more creative profile then investors scarred by the memories of last October will remain wary of Brierley Investments shares,” the paper said.
