Record run

Horatius, a half-brother to the earlier good winners, Lord Hilas, Carefree Princess, Queen’s Advocate and Noble Fella, made it two wins from two starts with a Cl record run in the Dodds Pharmacy and Peppers Restaurant Pace at the Canterbury Park Trotting Club’s meeting at Addington Raceway on Wednesday night. Trained at Drummond by Graham Bond, the Double Century four-year-old led his rivals a merry chase for most of the way and won untested by two lengths in 3:21.4 for the 2600 m from a stand. This was slightly quicker than the previous best by a Cl pacer at Addington, the 3:21.63 recorded by Sossy two years ago.
