Mister Gaines will be popular choice at Forbury

Special correspondent Dunedin A depleted field has boosted the prospects of Mister Gaines in the Sportsman Pace, main event at the Forbury Park Trotting Club’s meeting tomorrow evening. Mister Gaines was the early favourite after wins at Gore and Ascot Park in the last fortnight and a second to Willy Run on the course last month. He has become a more popular choice with four scratchings, which brings him from the outside of the front line at the start to No. 5.
