Fortuitous drug find
A routine vehicle check led to the discovery of 9kg of cannabis of an estimated street value of between $45,000 and $50,000, Blenheim police said. The dried cannabis leaf was divided into 20 plastic bags and stuffed into two red canvas holdalls. The cannabis was found on Monday when police stopped a car travelling south on State highway 1 at Seddon. The driver, a Christchurch man, aged 30, was arrested and wi|l appear in the District Court at Blenheim charged with possession of cannabis for supply—PA
