A West German cannon maker, Mr Josef Wenig, aged 64, with one of the miniature cannons he makes for use on ceremonial occasions throughout the world. Mr Wenig’s biggest customer is Saudi Arabia, which has 450 of the cannons. They are popular for state occasions and for marking prayer and fasting times. Mr Wenig produces a range of cannons in six different calibres from his factory in Passau.
