Namibia talks make progress
NZPA-Reuter Geneva Southern Africa peace talks appear to be back on track after a public row between Angola, Cuba and South Africa threatened to seriously damage the United States-mediated negotiations. In a marked change of mood, the four countries held 2>/ 2 hours of talks after Angola and Cuba proposed new peace terms, delegates said. Earlier, Angola and Cuba rejected a South African peace proposal and accused the South African Foreign Minister, Pik Botha, of breaking a confidentiality agreement.
