Who is Leeza?
London’s leading daily newspapers have been left puzzled in the wake of Leeza Gibbons’s engagement to the “Coronation Street” star, Christopher Quinten. The London press have just caught on to the news and are eagerly seeking information about Miss Gibbons.
The “Sun” and “Daily Mirror” sought Telethon pictures of the couple from “The Press.” The “Daily Mirror” described her as “a New Zealand television hostess” while the “Daily Mail” admitted it “didn’t have a lot to go on” and sought New Zealand news media help in filling in the background -of the American presenter of “Entertainment This Week.”
Miss Gibbons was again not available today, but has confirmed her engagement. The couple plan a November wedding, but have not disclosed a date.
The public relations officer of “Coronation Street,” Mr Graham King, said from London last evening that Quinten thought his engagement was a personal thing and did not want to discuss publicly details of the wedding.
