Trust funds for surgery
Trust funds will be used to establish a day surgery unit at Christchurch Hospital. The Canterbury Hospital Board’s finance committee yesterday approved a report which recommended using $50,000 of available trust funds to introduce the scheme.
Further detailed planning for the unit was still required, the committee was told. A report by-the Hospital Management team would be prepared. The unit should open in November and the committee has been asked to approve the use of a $50,000 trust fund.
