Report denied
"The Sunday Times” said that British intelligence had prepared a report criticising U.S. Navy action in shooting down an Iranian airliner a week ago, killing 290 people. But the British Foreign Office, which controls overseas intelligence operations, denied any knowledge of such a report.—London.
Troops to leave? ,
The Soviet Union may be considering the withdrawal of some or all of its 65,000 troops in Hungary, the State Department said. “We have increasing indications that the Soviets may be considering an early decision to pull forces out of Hungary. We would welcome that jrnove,” a State Department spokeswoman,

Drought persists
