New book display
A display of more than 1000 new books will open to public viewing at the Christchurch Town Hall from this month. The display is part of the Booksellers and Publishers’ Annual Conference being held at the Town Hall from July 23 to 25. According to the Booksellers’ Association of New Zealand it wilLbe the largest display of*’ books
held in New Zealand, and will provide an opportunity to see the latest books coming on to the market this year. It is also the first time publishers’ trade displays will be open to the public, and publishers will be available to meet the public and discuss the new books being released. The display will open on July 24 and can be viewed from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. •
