PA Wellington Greenpeace has used the third anniversary of the Rainbow Warrior bombing to urge France to return Alain Mafart and Dominique Prieur to Hao Atoll.
Protesters carrying lifesized photographs of the two agents raised a banner outside the house of the French Ambassador quoting President Mitterrand’s promise of “justice at the highest level.”
“We are tired of French word games,” said a Greenpeace spokeswoman, Jacqui Barrington.
She said the absolute minimum would be the return of the convicted terrorists to Hao in accordance with the terms of the violated United Nations agreement. s
