Plenty of games
The squash facilities at the Cashmere Club are, according to the secretary-manager of the club, Mr Brendon Wilson, the best in Christchurch. Two courts with a viewing gallery, changing, sauna and massage rooms, make this a popular venue for Christchurch squash players.
There is a blub night on Thursday, a “ladies only” squash game on Friday mornings and Inter Club competitions. The secretary of the Cashmere Club’s squash activities is Ms Claire Willes who may be contacted on 35-175 for further details.
Other games include table tennis, and the con-
tact is Mr Bill Hill, telephone 34-650, indoor bowls, convener Mr lan Close, telephone 325-498, and the bridge convenor Mr Rob Studholme phone 324-091.
Ms Hettie Dunshea organises “Cards 500” and she may be contacted on 324-464, and the secretaiy of the badminton club is Ms Maureen Chapman who may be contacted on 370-387.
Chess, euchre, golf, the gardening group and the ladies coffee group are also open to new members at the Cashmere Club, and details of these activities may be obtained from in or telephoning the Cashmere. Club.
