PA Auckland A report that a Maori activist, Ms Deidre Nehua will assume control of Carrington Hospital’s Maori health units is not true, says the suspended head, Mrs Titewhai Harawira.
Ms Nehua had been recruited as a voluntary
worker at the controver-
sial Whare Paia unit, not as her replacement, Mrs Harawira said yesterday. “I am still on the payroll, and will continue to head the Maori health units,” said Mrs Harawira. She had simply recruited Ms Nehua to help out this week
