Rada collection fetches $100,000
,PA Auckland A Frances Hodgkins gouache titled Ibiza was one of the prizes from the Rada Corporation, Ltd, art collection sold at auction on Monday for $lOO,OOO. About 12 paintings from the Rada collection were included in the International Art Centre auction which was well attended, buoyed no doubt
by the record price of $350,000 for a Nicholas Chevalier New Zealand painting sold earlier this month on behalf of Rada. Not all Rada’s offerings found a new home. A Sydney Thompson titled Blossoms South of France, which many patrons remembered being sold last year at $50,000, was passed in at $24,000.
