‘Taunt’ death alleged
A Palmerston North man, who allegedly shot a man who taunted him during an argument, will go on trial for murder in the High Court at Palmerston North on August 1. Gary Thomas Dyas, aged 31, a builder, is charged with murdering k Bruce Lindsay Barclay at Palmerston North on
April 4. A witness, Miss Angel Roberts, told the court Dyas threatened during an argument to blow Barclay’s head off. Barclay taunted him, saying he did not have the guts to do it. Dyas got a shotgun, loaded it and during further insults the gun went off, Miss Roberts said.
