The police said the man followed the girls, aged eight, to St Michael’s Church Day School, at the corner of Durham Street and Lichfield Street. He followed them into a cloakroom where the indecent exposure occurred, about 8.20 a.m. The girls ran to a nearby classroom and told a teacher. The offender was European, aged in his early 30s, about 173 cm (sft Bin) tall, with brown, straight, collar-length hair, spiked at the front. He was of thin to medium build.

Senior-Sergeant Mike Moore said it appeared the offender found the garage key. After entering the garage the burglar climbed stairs to get inside the secure flat. The police are keen to hear from anyone who saw vehicles parked at the flat during the weekend.

The house, at the corner of Barbadoes Street and Kilmore Street, was vacated last Friday. The tenant returned on Monday to pick up the rest of her property and discovered the house had been stripped of 11 doors, 20 windows and frames, a fire surround, a 30-gallon hot-water cylinder, three taps, and a shower hose.
