Queen not in scout pledge

PA Suva Fiji’s boy scouts have wiped the reference to the Queen from their traditional promise. Reflecting Fiji’s new republican, non-Com-monwealth status, the scouts now pledge to do their duty to God and their country, instead of God and the Queen. The change was approved at the annual meeting of the Fiji Scout Association in Suva.
